Frequently Asked Questions
We know you have questions, so hopefully you find the answers here. If the listed answers don’t answer your own queries, feel free to drop us a line at doggobobby@gmail.com, and we’ll happily chat through it with you!
How old does my dog need to be?
Ultimately, six months is about the starting point for most dogs, however, check with your regular veterinarian for your buddy, as this will vary by breed, body composition and breeding history.
How do you know they won’t run away?
We have plenty of experience with dogs, and we find the thing most dogs want most, is the company of other dogs. Running away would get them loneliness and no fun, and they’re just not really into that. The pack mentality really helps us, and unless you know they’re really a flight risk, there’s no need for concern. Also, we recently have upgraded our technology and have Apple AirTags for all the newbies, so you can have peace of mind knowing your dog is able to be tracked down even if they turn out to be the very odd runner.
Is my dog too small?
We take mostly dogs in the 15-35kg range, so if your dog is quite small or not very sturdy build, we could recommend a similar service who we would think to be more suitable for little hounds. They need their adventures too, but they don’t want to be trampled by giants!
Do you service my area?
We have a service range of approximately a seven kilometres radius from the city centre. We have two adventurers, and we have divided the city up into two halves. This said, if you live in certain regions which are close to our regularly visited areas, we can make arrangements. We have a map of our service areas, which can be found by clicking here.
Do the dogs all get along?
Due to this service catering to a certain type of dog, we find most of the hounds get along famously, as they have no reason to become angry with each other, and the outdoor spaces allow them room to become comfortable in each others’ presence. However, as with humans, occasionally there are just some individuals who just don’t get along, and we make sure to place these dogs on separate days / bookings.
Do I need to be home for collection?
Not at all, if it’s not convenient for you to be! A lot of the time, it’s actually easiest for us to grab them from the yard or house, so long as you provide access to them. After a couple of sessions, they’ll have become attuned to the sound of our respective vans, and will be waiting right at the door, all ready to go.
